If you find the trail info a bit old on this hike, it is because it hasn't been hiked in a while. The trail to Deeks Peak is in OK condition, prepare to climb. You will pass a sign en route saying Peak to the right and Windsor mountain left. Going to the right would take you to Gotha Peak aka Peak 5400, go left to go to Deeks and Windsor. Once you get to a plateau area you need to go left up in the trees/ bushes and look for flagging tape(not the red/orange markers) and climb some more. We wanted to do a loop to Lost Lake instead of coming back to Deeks Peak. I would not recommend this. The portion from Deeks Peak to Lost lake is very overgrown and not well marked. If you do it and get lost, take the creek bed down to the lake. Lost lake trail out isn't bad and seems like paradise after the previous slog. If you start from the parking lot, it is about 23km round trip for the loop. If you decide you want to do it. Bring a map and GPS with the trail on it.
