Our sights turned to the sign for the sub alpine meadows 4.5 miles away from the view point. Being in an adventurous mood, we hopped into the truck and drove off. It turned out we had accidentally stumbled on the trailhead for the three brothers (with the fourth existing further off). I also understood why this trail became so popular. Most of the work this hike would require was completed by driving up, leaving only alpine meadows to wander through.
