SUMMARY: Mountaineering trip:

Follow the Cerise Creek trail to Keith's Hut (check out for updates on that trail).

From Keith's Hut, go up the moraine onto Anniversary glacier. Follow it up to the Joffre-Matier col. Start going down on the other side towards Joffre Lakes, contouring the base of Joffre Peak. The Australian Couloir is an obvious gully on the southwest face of Matier. The slope oscillate between 40 and 50 degree all the way up. There is only a narrow window where this route is great, after the avalanche danger and before rock fall danger.
