We started at PCT, just north of the I-90 bridge at exit 52. Need snowshoes right away. Followed it north for a bit before cross country. Visited the lower 2 lakes, and Kendall Knob #2. We did a fair amount of off trail. Saw many ski tracks, and hit the trails from time to time. Last, we came down from the ridge of Knob #2 straight to I-90.
Snow is deep fluffy powder. Cannot be better. Otherwise, it would be dangerous to go on the steep slopes as we did.
We parked at Summit West, and used the trailhead from under I-90 bridge at exit 52. You'll see an on-ramp trail up to the snow bank shortly north of the bridge.
