Locomotive, Tender and Caboose on the fringe of the Train Glacier.
Aside: A 'tender' or coal-car is a special rail vehicle hauled by a steam locomotive containing its fuel (wood, coal, or oil) and water.

- First 30 minutes of trail are muddy and buggy
- Ice ax and crampons a must for multiple snow field travel
- All 3 peaks still have substantial cornices with a few giving way now with the summer upon us
- I enjoyed the scrambling on Tender and Caboose more than Locomotive mostly because there was more of it ;)
- And lastly... I think I will move to Pemberton, lol... the people rock, not to mention it is also surrounded by mountains... errr... anyways... I was asked by two separate vehicles if I was 'ok' while airing down my tires to drive the Hurley FSR and then again when I was airing them back up on my out :)

FYI... I have decided to start a new 'style' of beta share... I am going to include full disclosure of the event including all the bumps and bruises. For example, I have corrected my GPX tracks for years if I had gone off course primarily to provide you, potentially the user of the track, a clean reliable route to reference. It was never done to cover up my mistakes or mislead the reader into thinking every trip I complete is perfect. Rarely, in fact does everything go perfectly 100%. Part of the fun is learning to adapt, gaining experience and in lots of cases, expanding your boundaries in a safe, intelligent way.
So... on this trip, the only thing of note is that I assessed and accepted the increased risk of danger by taking a shorter, steeper route under some large cornices to gain the south side of Locomotive to finish the ascent of the first peak. I was hustling to minimize the time I am exposed to said danger and hyper vigilant with an ever changing escape path mapped out (if that is even possible). Risk is a personal thing... you need to decide for yourself what is and is not ok with your gut.
