My GPS was all wonky and I picked the wrong yellow gate and snowshoed half way up the neighbouring Rolley Peak before I ran into a group and figured it out!
So I took off my snowshoes and ran back down.. drove the 3km further and restarted my day.
This is straight forward snowshoe as it follows an FSR most of the way until you cut nearly straight up!
The caveat is this... there are numerous drainages as you ascend and you have to drop into them and out again and then keep going ... this can be tricky as some are 3-4 meters deep with collapsing snow on either side... this will slow you down but its doable carefully kicking in steps or checking a little further up for less of a drop.
Now as you cut off the road and begin to really ascend you have work to do here and in winter with copious snow it is steep and an avalanche prone angle so be vigilant... markers are not that obvious.
The views are awesome and it is a bit harder than it seems on paper.
