We attempted to summit Mount Garibaldi via Brohm ridge. The road up from Cat Lake is in good condition and you can drive to the yellow gate. The route from the there to the snowmobile hut is also snow free. The ridge itself has lots of snow after that making the trail visible only in some small portions. We worked towards the Shark Fin which we passed from below and then camped just before the glacier. At 3am we got up, the snow pack was excellent, firm, and perfect for travel. The glacier is still in great condition with only a few crevasses starting to open up. They were easily avoided. As we moved it up it was clear the bergshrund near the top had melted and collapsed. There is currently no safe route to get up. Rocks are falling from the summit as it melts out. Gonna have to return next season to finish off the last 150m.
