Mount Sproatt

I did snowshoe on this trail two years ago. We started on Rainbow Lake trail today and used my GPS to guide to the turnoff for Mount Sproatt trail which was rough and steep at times. Though there are flagging tapes for a while but it eventually disappeared near the creek which I remembered that it was fully covered by snow last time. The elevation at this point is about 1539m. We would need another 300m ascent to reach the top. We were stopped by a snow-capped and steep slope. Nevtheless, it does not seem that we would be able to summit today as most of us did not bring microspikes/crampons and it was very cold and windy while we moved forward. The snow appeared at 1200m elevation. All in all, it's a wonderful day to be in the arms of Mother Nature.
