Mount Sproatt (from Callaghan Valley Road)

I never did find the old Northair Mine site so I'm not sure if I was on the right logging road but I did manage to 4x4 up to the 4000ft. level and easily got into the alpine. The road ended at a snowmobilers hut from where I turned east and rambled my way along the ridge system that leads to Sproatt Mt., though I only went as far as the 2 smaller summits which I think are called Gin & Tonic. The area is heavily used by snowmobilers in winter & mountain bikers in the summer and since there was not enough snow for the former and too much for the latter, I had the whole area to myself. The snow was a bit soft but firm enough for good walking.
