The weather was a little iffy today, but we decided to take a chance and head out to Valley Forge to hike through the park. The choice proved good, and we enjoyed a great hike through a very historic park.
The hike we followed was a mixture of trail types...paved, gravel, and just plain "rocksylvanian"...and offered a lot more elevation gain than the Pinelands do. There are many trails throughout the park, and most are interconnected, allowing us to combine three or four trails to complete a loop through the park. You could, if desired, add a couple of more trails to increase the length of the hike, making this an all-day outing.
Unfortunately, I neglected to start my GPS, so I can't post a track for this one.
