First time to hike Vedder Mountain Ridge trail in early December. It's a beautiful Saturday morning with clear sky. If you have a 4x4 or a high clearence vehicle you are able to drive up and park right at the trailhead, otherwise have your car park at the junction where you will see a pole marked Vedder Mountain Ridge Trail on the Vedder Mountain Forest Service Road. Walk approx 600m and reach the trailhead #400 on your left. This is a non-motorized trail, hiking in the dense shady forest crossing boardwalks, climbing wooden steps and ropes assist you to the summit, the condition of the trial is good, no snow or ice, some section is muddy, and the boardwalks are very very slippery, make sure you wear proper shoes. It's an easy to moderate hike, clear markers on the way, took us about 4 hrs to complete included time for lunch and photo taking.
