Great family hike as you don't have to look down at your feet very much. Lots of shade on a hot sunny day as there is a lot of tree foliage.
For some, the waterfall at the end is a bit disappointing because the viewpoint doesn't completely wrap around the side of the cliff facing the waterfall. However, if this hike is done for the exercise, and then you drive down to the lower Myra falls, you are ready for an easy hike down and swim at some of the most beautiful and varied falls I've ever seen. If you arrive in the late afternoon at the falls, the sun will be just behind the water and you'll get some great camera shots.
A lot of the other hikers on the trail missed the trail head - its on the left after about 800m from the parking lot on the logging road. One pair of hikers were disappointed by the whole trip as they thought the logging road was the walk!
