We started with the lower falls trail from the Gold Creek Parking lot, then took the Upper Falls trail from the directly behind the Lower falls platform. This trail is steep in sections - you need good footwear, and it has a few narrow sections with some substantial drop offs to your left but certainly doable by pretty much anyone unless you have some form of vertigo. Lots of moisture on these sections mainly due to the spray from the falls and cloud created by the tunneling of the air through the rock formations.
Note: (the GPS uploaded failed to lock on a satellite until we were almost at the Lower Falls, but it has the entire East Canyon Trail aka Hector Furguson Trail)
Upper Falls requires a descent of about 100-125m with some slight scrambling and lots of slippery logs but well worth it.
