John Heinz Wildlife Sanctuary
Dec 31, 2011
I had to go to Philadelphia Airport Saturday morning, so I decided to head over a little early to get a hike in the southern half of John Heinz Wildlife Sanctuary. I have hiked the northern half several times, but had never made it to the southern end.
The weather was perfect for a quick hike along the water, and I plenty of sign of deer that had passed through earlier in the morning. Geese and ducks were plentiful on the water, and small birds flitted through the reeds growing in abundance along the trail. Overall a very pleasant hike.
