The hike is 16 km, with about 1000m elevation gain.
It takes around 2.5-3h from Vancouver to get to the forestry road and the forestry road is very narrow and long (around 7-8km). The parking lot at the trail head has room for about 20-25ish cars.
The trail is in perfect conditions, just 1-2 patches of compact snow that can be easily crossed. The WA are not marked but you can easily follow the path. The views going up the trail are breathtaking and the flowers are in full bloom. The trail has easy switch backs and gains elevation gradually. At the end, the switchbacks are getting tough and you gain a lot of elevation on the last part. 2/3 of the trail is exposed so sunscreen and a hat would be highly recommended.
The views at the top are stunning to say the least. Being a firelookout, there is a 360 degree view of all the mountains surrounding the Green Mountain. One of the best, most scenic hikes I've done.
