It's an overnight trip.
We camped near the headwater of Copper Glance Creek for 1 night.
Sunday, we climbed West Craggy first, and then Big Craggy.
They are often climbed together.
Current condition:
road is suitable for all cars (good gravel)
trail has a lot of burnt and fallen trees, especially after the pond.
no need to deal with snow on the climb. A very small section on the way up to West Craggy.
flowers are good, but can be better a little later. Now mostly are arnica. I see aster in buds, fireweed is not even budding yet. Along the road, magenta paintbrush.
Photos:
1. mosquito pond. After which the trail is non-existent. Lots of down charred logs. Slow progress.
2. charred trees
3. flowering slope before you hit photos 1+2.
4. Copper Glance mine (sorry, before you hit photos 1-3)
5. rough hand-drawn route.
